A life built at the intersection of analysis and imagination.
Phil grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and attended Florida A&M University on a full academic scholarship, graduating with studies in business administration, finance, and psychology. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in New York before moving into corporate finance leadership in Atlanta, where he worked with Delta Air Lines, iHeartMedia, Comcast/NBCUniversal, and Amazon. Most recently, he led financial planning and analysis for Amazon’s worldwide books business.
Since leaving Amazon, Phil has pursued creative work across writing, photography, social media, strategy, speaking, and entertainment. His work is shaped by a life spent moving between boardrooms and barbershops, financial models and film sets, systems thinking and deeply personal storytelling. He has traveled to more than fifty countries, built an audience around his ability to make complex ideas feel human, and worked on the upcoming Netflix miniseries All the Sinners Bleed, based on the novel by S. A. Cosby.
His work lives at the intersection of analysis and empathy, strategy and storytelling, systems and the people navigating them.
